My goal with the weblog is to chronicle the path of my own personal career journey and the lessons that I've learned and am still learning…hopefully with a good amount of humour. For some time now I have felt that Career Coaching is the direction to take my line of work, and the best way to make the most of the skills I have acquired throughout my career. I am in an exciting position in my life that allows me more freedom to do what I am "called" to do rather that what I "need" to do. My sons are grown and independent, I am recently married and have the loving support of a life partner to encourage me, and I have gained confidence through my career and life experiences. Because there are challenges unique to women who are beginning, developing and growing a career, I have chosen to direct the primary focus of this work toward women.
An important part of the Coach-Align website will be to present commentary written by a variety of women about their unique experiences. The site will feature articles highlighting the many challenges women engage in during the lifetime of a career. If you are inspired to write a piece that captures important moments within your career journey, I would love to publish them on Coach-Align.com.
